1954 Austin A30

I have a 1954 Austin A30 4 door sedan (clock shows 38007 miles) that was bought new by my wife’s late auntie late 1954 (log book says it had just under 800 miles on the clock in Feb 1955). She had an accident in 1996 damaging the front driver’s side and never drove it again.

I acquired the car and still had the motor running in the early 2000’s until I commenced dismantling the car with a view to restoration (never happened). Everything is complete including instruments, badges, etc even including the damaged guard and headlight surround. Only non genuine bits I can see are the indicators (original wing indicators still there but disabled), gearshift knob and radiator cap. Rest of body looks OK and straight. All glass is intact ex the drivers headlight lens.

First photo was taken in 2005 but the rest are all recent hence the surface rust stains. Main issue is the car is stuck in gear which I have been told is a bent linkage issue (thanks kids).

Looking to send to a new home for somebody to restore and enjoy. Looking for around $2200. Car is in Mulgrave, Victoria. Comes with original plates.
