Complete Eaton M24 supercharger system for Xpag /Xpeg engine,this is the complete system for the MG XPAG XPEG engine and Wolseley Xpaw engine This system is complete on
a high tensile aircraft alloy manifold with a Shorrock blow of valve ,the carburettor is a 1.5 inch SU. The Eaton M24 supercharger is small in size but unlike the larger Eaton
superchargers is 2 times geared in the nose of the supercharger to give increased volume,very clever.
For the technical minded the specifications for the M24 supercharger as published by Eaton are,
2:1 gearing in the snout so 2:1 to the crankshaft pulley which would then turn the rotors 4 times per revolution of the the crankshaft so rotor revolution at 3500rpm would be 17500 revolutions this is dependant on the size of the crank pulley which should be no smaller than 90mm therefore crank pulley ratio is 1:4 but effective ratio is 2:8.1 with the snout gearing and should move 69 cubic inches of air per rotation again this is dependant on crankshaft pulley size ,the XPAG engine originally produced 54BHP but with the M24 supercharger should produce app.90/95 BHP
This supercharger system fits under the bonnet of the MG TB MG TC MGTD without having to delete the radiator brace and with the MGTF its small size means it will fit under the bonnet of the MG TF unlike the larger M45 supercharger which would need panelwork changes to fit the MG TF
