Riley RMA, AC Ace, MG TC and very early MG TD 3229Q SU 1 1/4 inch original factory twin carburettors

this is the original factory twin  carburettors for the Riley RMA ,AC Ace and often used on the  MG TC,MG TA , MG TB and very early MG TD or Wolesley 4/44. .The carbs are in very good condition as they have  sat on a shelf for the past 50 years.The carburettos have  been cleaned and new Viton seals fitted in place of the cork seals, everything moves freely and the weighted piston drops easily without sticking The weighted piston is the later type alloy, with a steel weight collar as used in the late MG TC and early MG TD.,most of the early MG TC's used a brass piston. I have shown this piston in the photographs ,the overall  dimensions of this carburettor and operation is identical to the 3678 B  as used on the MG TC the id number is different probably because of the steel weighted piston  instead of brass weighted pistons

The carburettors are mounted on an alloy manifold with a production number of VAE  there are no other numbers, I can see this manifold is early  production and is for for a B series engine  but there are many manifolds for this engine so it could be Morris Major Elite,MGA.Riley, AC and numerous others, please note it is not an XPAG manifold so if using these carburettors on a MG TC or MG TD you would need to change  to an XPAG or XPEG manifold
